What is SafeList’s policy with respect to the sharing of users’ email addresses with a third party?
Our policy is simple and unambiguous: We will NEVER share your email address with any third party. SafeList’s core values are Honesty, Integrity and Trust and we will NEVER compromise on our core values and principles as we build the SafeList Community. You have our unequivocal promise!
What is the difference between an Individual Membership and a Business Membership?
Individual Memberships are for people who seek to join a safer, smarter Internet community and enjoy a traditional but more secure “classifieds” experience. Business Memberships are reserved for commercial merchants and organizations that provide products and services to the general public and have an ongoing need for delivering coupons, advertisements and other information and opportunities to their highly-targeted markets.
How does SafeList verify the identity of its Community members?
SafeList uses a proprietary software platform that is connected to both public and private commercial databases. For safety and security reasons, the specifics of this methodology remain confidential. We do NOT tap into your bank or social security records. We simply use public data to verify that you are who you are claiming.
How do I apply for Membership?

How can I upgrade my Membership; how much does it cost; and what are the benefits?
All our memberships are 100% FREE.
There are two types of members, Silver and Gold. To become a Silver Member, you need to complete the free initial background check. In order to upgrade to a Gold Member, you will need to complete an additional free criminal background check. To upgrade to a Gold Member, go to “My Profile” and click “Upgrade.”
What can I do if my Silver Membership has been refused?
This means that you failed to answer the verification questions correctly. But do not worry! We can quickly and manually verify your identity for free by calling us at 1-877-735-6813.
What can I do if my Gold Membership has been refused?
This means one of two things: either your past conduct has “earned you the right” to fail the independently conducted SafeList Background Check or you are being flagged because someone with a similar name has a compromised background. Please contact us at 1-877-735-6813 and we will find a way to clear things up…
Why can’t I contact any poster I want on SafeList?
We believe it is the right of our Community Members to decide who they choose to connect with. If you’re a Gold or Silver Member, you can decide to limit your contacts to Gold Members only or to permit Members with lower levels of verification to connect with you.
How do I create a post?
Use the green “Post” buttons on the right hand side of the dashboard to post items such as ads, jobs, coupons, open houses, events, etc. If you are unable to post items from there, you will need to upgrade your account.
Why doesn’t my username or password work?

Who do I contact to report another user for fraudulent or abusive behavior?
